Greek Festival 2011

Lucia and I attended the Greek Festival for our second official adventure. It turned out to be a very fun adventure. The first thing that Lucia and I experienced was the amazing Greek cuisine. I decided that I wanted to have a small sample of everything, which turned out to be a very costly idea on my part. However, all of the food was absolutely delicious! While we ate, we watched greek dancers. Both of us decided that the scarves that the ladies wore in their hair as part of the traditional greek dress were really darling and the two of us may be adding something similar to our wardrobes.

After we finished with the eatting, we began the shopping. There were many booths with many varied things to purchase. Both Lucia and I walked away sporting new jewelry.

We next decided to try the desserts. We selected one that looked like a bird's nest, but tasted exactally like Christmas would taste. (This was Lucia's observation).

Lucia and I decided that no greek festival would be complete without a glitter tattoo. We each recieved a star on the under-side of our wrists, and got a free colored hair extension with purchase!! (WOOHOO!!) Also, I was mocked for having an emergency pair of shoes in my purse for the times when I make terrible shoe choices. (Sadly, this is a fairly regular occurance for me).

The Greek Festival turned out to be a fun evening. It is great to learn a bit about the greek culture, and taste the amazing food! (Also, jewelry, glitter tatoos, and hair extensions complete ANY evening!)
